Flint Hills Animal Advocates has a special event taking place Sunday.
The group formerly known as FEAS is asking residents to help fill its food and supply pantry with a Christmas in July activity. Organizer Deb Ghere says the pantry is nearly bare, so she’s asking residents to call her at 620-481-0889 or message the group’s Facebook page by Sunday if they have supplies they want to donate.
Ghere says group organizers believe having drop-off locations may not work as well as using the pickup method, so that’s why they decided on this approach.
Flint Hills Animal Advocates is asking for dry pet food for all cat and dog ages, as well as treats. Monetary donations are also requested, with funds helping to offset costs of major medical procedures.
