A preliminary hearing is coming at the end of August for an Americus man facing numerous charges of sexual exploitation.
Adam David Chestnut, age 50, is charged with 22 counts of exploitation stemming from alleged activity between this past December and January, specifically for what prosecutors call “unlawfully and feloniously possessing…visual depiction” of at least one child under the age of 18 involved in explicit situations.
The affidavit, or law enforcement narrative about the case, is sealed and will likely remain so through the court process. Additional details are pending through the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Chestnut had his first official court appearance in Lyon County District Court on Thursday. His preliminary is Aug. 29 before Judge Jeff Larson. Brian Williams has been appointed to represent Chestnut.
