The Emporia Recreation Commission has two meetings ahead Monday.
The first meeting is for the special and annual Closing of the Books discussion. Board members will approve financial statements and then adjourn.
The regular monthly meeting will follow immediately afterward. After electing officers, the board will move into approving the 2024-25 budget for publication purposes and handle other annual business. Separately, the board will continue its conversations about employee retention tax credits and the at-large board member position process.
The special meeting will begin at 5:30 pm Monday at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
