Sentencing is ahead next month in a Lyon County drug distribution case.
On Wednesday, Azim Williams pleaded no contest to single counts of distributing less than 10 dosage units of fentanyl and distributing under 3.5 grams pf methamphetamine. Counts of distributing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia were dismissed as part of an agreement reached by Lyon County prosecutors.
Williams was originally charged with distributing up to 100 units of fentanyl, up to 100 grams of meth and between 25-450 grams of marijuana after an alleged incident in Lyon County in early February.
Sentencing will be Aug. 26 before Judge Jeff Larson. The plea agreement was reached during a status hearing before Williams’ scheduled trial, which was supposed to begin Monday.
