Work is set to begin on a repaving project on a state highway in Lyon and Osage counties.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says work could begin as soon as Monday on resurfacing Kansas Highway 170 from the Kansas Highway 99 junction east to Osage City, or over 20 miles of work.
The work ahead will mean one-lane traffic in the active work area, meaning the use of a pilot car and flaggers to get around construction. Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected.
The project should be done by early next month. Vance Brothers of Kansas City, Missouri, won the contract with a $1 million bid.
