Sentencing is ahead next month in what started as a drug distribution case in Lyon County.
Maelynn Martinez had been facing single counts of drug distribution and paraphernalia possession after an alleged incident near Emporia in mid-May. On Friday, she pleaded no contest to the paraphernalia count, so sentencing is now set for Aug. 29.
Martinez had been accused of having over 400 grams of marijuana, nearly 120 THC vape cartridges, assorted edible THC products and drug paraphernalia allegedly in her vehicle when she was stopped by Lyon County deputies on Interstate 35 near Road U.
