A man who reached a plea agreement in what was initially an attempted aggravated arson and aggravated assault case got probation as his sentence.
Benjamin Paul White was originally charged with single counts of assault and attempted arson after an incident this past August where was accused of trying to set a building at 1282 Road 160 on fire with a person inside. The plea agreement, reached in late May, removed the assault count.
Judge Jeff Larson sentenced White to 18 months of probation with an underlying 8-month prison term if there are violations. He also has 12 months of postrelease supervision.
