Advance voting is getting started for the 2024 primary election.
Ballots are getting mailed out Wednesday to those wanting to use that option. Wednesday also marks the start of a four-day offsite voting option at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Hours are:
*Wednesday: 10 am to 3 pm
*Thursday: 10 am to 7 pm
*Friday: 10 am to 3 pm
*Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm
In-office or courthouse advance voting begins Monday.
Residents wanting a mail ballot must officially request that paperwork no later than July 30 and then have those returned or postmarked by Aug. 6 to count. In-person advance voting ends at noon Aug. 5.
