The road for two Emporia bowlers in the Boys U18 division at the 2024 Junior Gold Championships ended on Thursday in Detroit, Michigan. Nate Green finished with a score of 2,885 after bowling a 715 in his final qualifying round. Caydrick Crouch finished with a score of 2,477 after bowling 584 in his final round of qualifying. Green finished in a tie for 484th, while Crouch finished in a tie for 1,196th. Both needed to be among the top 191 bowlers to advance to the Advancers Round 1 which takes place Friday. Crouch and Green will be juniors at Emporia High this fall.
