A Topeka man was taken into custody on suspicion of drug possession in Osage County Saturday.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, an Osage County Deputy initiated a traffic stop at 1:35 pm Saturday for an alleged traffic violation at the intersection of US Highway 56 and South Topeka Avenue. During a search of the suspect vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Aaron M. Griffith of Topeka, illegal narcotics were allegedly located.
Griffith was arrested and taken to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Formal charges are currently pending.
