Two people wanted after allegedly leaving the scene of a drug crime in Council Grove and driving to Oklahoma to escape justice have been arrested.
Meagann Mason and Colby Ross were arrested Sunday at an unspecified location in Oklahoma, according to Morris County Crime Stoppers. They could be extradited to face charges at a later time.
Council Grove Police say Mason and Ross left 20 North Belfry in Council Grove early Tuesday after an unspecified person had a suspected fentanyl overdose that resulted in the victim receiving Narcan and CPR treatments. Law enforcement also says Mason and Ross fled the scene as authorities were going through the process to obtain a search warrant.
