A Missouri woman was arrested on suspected drug distribution charges in Osage County on Monday.
Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest of 37-year-old Kyra Merriman of Kansas City developed after an alleged traffic infraction. An Osage County K-9 unit stopped Merriman at US Highway 75 and 189th Road, about five miles north of Lyndon, and allegedly found illegal narcotics.
Meriman was arrested on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine, as well as possessing unspecified depressants, hallucinogens, marijuana and paraphernalia. Merriman was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated child endangerment.
Formal charges are pending.
