Pretrial and arraignment dates are coming for a husband and wife accused in Lyon County District Court of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, but the hearings are coming separately next month.
Jesus Manuel Trillo-Hurtado, age 45 of Emporia, will have his next court appearance Aug. 15, while 41-year-old Maria Elena Trillo will be back in court Aug. 20.
At least for now, the cases are also advancing before different Lyon County judges. Judge Lee Fowler will hear the Trillo-Hurtado case and Judge Jeff Larson will hear the Trillo case.
Both are facing four total counts each including two counts of aggravated human trafficking and aggravated commercial sexual exploitation of a child following alleged activity between January and May of 2016.
