There are a lot of community activities in and around Emporia this weekend, and one of those taking place near Emporia is the latest Front Porch Jams concert.
Mike and Carla Argabright are hosting at 1154 Road 60 on Friday evening. Proceeds benefit the USD 252 Southern Lyon County Honor Flight program and the Olpe Fitness Park project. On KVOE’s Morning Show this week, Mike Argabright said both causes are important to the couple.
There is a good list of performers, including Sammie Beck with Derek Nuessen, Hayden Knuth, Sam & The Firewatchers and Jeanna Scheve. Music goes from 7-10 pm. Concertgoers are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
