Emporia Fire handled a small grass fire incident near Emporia on Thursday.
Fire crews were dispatched to Kansas Highway 99 near the intersection of Road 150, or less than a mile south of the city limits. Fire Capt. Willie Ward says there were two fires, but they covered less than 20 feet and were put out quickly.
The cause is undetermined. No injuries were reported.
