A special walkathon is taking place Saturday.
Leap of Faith Martial Arts is sponsoring The Corky’s Cupboard Walkathon on Saturday as part of Hannah Henderson’s black belt project. Activities will be from 8:30 am to noon at C of E Park.
Admission will be $5 or a nonperishable food donation, and Corky’s Cupboard needs several sets of foodstuffs to help Emporia State students in short-term or urgent need — including canned food, grains, meals and mixes, freezer meals and baking supplies. Toiletries are also needed.
