A case that started in Lyon County District Court as a drug distribution case ended Friday with a sentence on lesser counts.
Alejandro Lara-Ceja will spend over four years in prison as part of a plea agreement involving single counts of possessing paraphernalia with intent to manufacture a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon by a felon. The sentences, 42 months for paraphernalia and nine months for the weapon, will be served consecutively.
Lara-Ceja was originally charged in late November, and at the time he was facing charges of distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine, up to 450 grams of marijuana, possessing paraphernalia, flee and elude and criminal possession of a handgun after alleged activity around Thanksgiving. He reached a plea agreement in late May.
