Preparations continue for Lyon County’s primary election Tuesday.
Lyon County Clerk and Election Officer Tammy Vopat says this includes an equipment test and the regular Election School.
Vopat says close to 520 people had voted as of the close of business Tuesday, with identical numbers for in-office voting at the Lyon County Courthouse and offsite voting at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. In-office advance voting continues 8 am to 5 pm through Friday and 8 am to noon Monday. The deadline for requesting mail ballots passed Tuesday, and voters who want to vote by mail need to have their ballots either returned to the County Courthouse or mailed and postmarked by Tuesday in order for them to count.
The primary election is Tuesday. KVOE and KVOE.com will have coverage as soon as the polls close at 7 pm Tuesday. Learn more about the candidates, polling places and other information on the KVOE.com Voter Information Guide courtesy of Community National Bank.
