The Lyon County History Center will have some rearranging done soon.
The museum’s research and archives area will soon be more organized by the middle portion of August.
History Center Director Greg Jordan says now is the right time to organize the archives more and make it easier for attendees to find what they’re looking for promptly.
Jordan says when the history center moved to 711 Commercial, they didn’t have time to organize and arrange the archives. Rearranging the archives isn’t the only thing going on at the history center, a popular event in July was the Lyon’s Den Super Smash Brothers Tournament.
Jordan says the history center is hopeful that a gaming tournament like this will open up for similar activities at the facility. Jordan says with Emporia State University having an Esports team, they’re hoping to attract them to host tournaments at the history center.
