Superload-related traffic adjustments aren’t limited to Emporia.
Coffey County has seen two superloads moving slowly between Lebo and Wolf Creek so far this week, with one starting its travels Monday, another one underway Wednesday and a third coming Friday. This involves three transformers, each weighing around 600,000 pounds and traveling at 5 mph maximum.
The Coffey County Sheriff’s Office has been allowing one-lane traffic around the superloads as they travel on US Highway 75.
