A man who accepted a Lyon County plea agreement on child sex abuse and attempted abuse is headed to prison for almost five years.
Dennis Ray Torrence had accepted an Alford plea on single counts of indecent solicitation and attempted indecent liberties in April after alleged activity with a then-13-year-old in January 2023. The Alford plea means Torrence proclaims his innocence but admits there is enough evidence to convict.
Torrence was sentenced to 46 months on the indecent solicitation charge and 13 months on the attempted indecent liberties count. The charges will be served consecutively.
