Road construction projects in Lyon County aren’t limited to the Emporia city limits.
The Lyon County Highway Department has several chip seal work zones planned for Monday morning into early afternoon and virtually all day Tuesday:
*Road 70 from Road J east to the Olpe city limits
*Road 75 from Kansas Highway 99 east to Road U
*Road 80 from Road U east to Road Y-5
*Road 90 from Kansas Highway 99 west to Road J-5
*Road K-5 from Road 70 north to K-99
These work zones will have a pilot car to help with one-lane traffic. Delays of 5-15 minutes can be expected.
