Nominations are now being accepted for The Coolest Thing Made in Kansas.
Nominations are underway now online at kansascool.com through Aug. 23. Entries will be for People’s Choice and Coolest Innovation, and the contest timing varies based on the category:
*Coolest Innovation will see nominated products submitting innovation questionnaires Aug. 26-Sept. 6, with a judge review Sept. 9-20. Finalists will be announced Oct. 1 and the winner will be announced Oct. 9.
*People’s Choice nominations will go into a bracket of 16 contestants, with online voting at kansascool.com going from Aug. 29-Sept. 11. The field is trimmed to a bracket of eight entries Sept. 12-25 before a final round of online voting Sept. 26-Oct. 8. The winner will be announced Oct. 9.
The annual contest through the Kansas Manufacturing Council and Kansas Chamber debuted in 2020 as a way to highlight certain goods and items developed and produced in Kansas before being sent across the United States and world.
