Coffey County deputies are asking area residents to be on the lookout for a man and vehicle after a report of an attempted abduction Friday.
The Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened shortly before 2 pm near Waverly’s city park. A person of interest is listed as a white male between 50-60 years old, about 6 feet tall and clean-shaven. This person was allegedly driving a late-model silver Lexus with unspecified Minnesota tags.
Residents seeing a vehicle matching this description should not approach, but they should call the Coffey County Sheriff’s Office at 620-364-2123.
