USD 252 Southern Lyon County board members will convene for their regular meeting Wednesday evening.
The main item of business will be consideration of the fiscal year 2025 budget which could see approval. Board members will also discuss student handbooks, daycare at Neosho Rapids, ACT scores and policies for electronic devices.
Reports from building principals and the district’s technology director are also planned. Several financial matters including student aid insurance, grants and donations, payrolls, bills and more could also see approval during the consent agenda portion of the meeting where numerous items can be approved with a single vote.
The meeting will begin at 6 pm at the board meeting room in Hartford.
Budget matters will also be the primary focus for the USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education when they convene for two meetings Wednesday evening.
The first will be for a public hearing on the 2025 Budget before members move into their regular meeting agenda where they could approve the budget. Other items include selecting the annual KASB conference delegate, a facilities study report and updates on capital outlay, financial and legislative matters and enrollment.
Two executive sessions, one for student matters and another for personnel are also scheduled. The budget hearing will begin at 6 pm followed by the regular agenda at 6:15 pm.
Both meetings will be held inside of the board meeting room in Americus.
