Emporia’s large-scale economic development groups meet separately this week.
Emporia Enterprises meets first, doing so at 4 pm Wednesday. The board will get two notable updates, one on the Vision First strategic economic study and the other on its 2025 appropriations request from the city. Quarterly financials and at least one executive session are also on the agenda.
The Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas then meets at 7 am Friday. Besides having its own look at the Vision First study and appropriations request, the board will discuss a separate appropriations request from Flint Hills Technical College and will have a financial review presentation. Discussions about a new RDA logo will also take place before an executive session.
Both meetings are at the Trusler Business Center, 719 Commercial.
