Lyon County commissioners discussed policy matters during the open meeting part of their study session Wednesday.
Lyon County Area Transportation Director Shane Brunner presented commissioners with the annual Title VI complaint procedures and limited English proficiency plan. Brunner says this is so commissioners can review and approve the department’s nondiscrimination policy.
Commissioners also had two executive sessions.
Thursday’s action session has several items for consideration:
*County Engineer Chip Woods submits several materials bids to support the bridge replacement project on Road 170 over Dry Creek just west of Neosho Rapids.
*Information Technology Director Jean Barnett will submit a request for increased bandwidth between the Courthouse and Highway Department headquarters for just under $1,000
*Community Corrections Director Erin Rodriguez will present fiscal 2024 year-end reports as well as fiscal 2025 adult and juvenile carryover budgets
*Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope will present a medical services contract for approval
Two executive sessions are also planned.
The meeting starts at 9 am Thursday at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
