Round robin activities began Monday’s event schedule at the Lyon County Fair.
The top two intermediate placers were Faith Hamlin and Clara Fischer. Hamlin says there are some notable differences between a normal show and round robin. First is the pace.
Another big one, Fischer says, is the lack of familiarity with a lot of the animals.
The two — Hamlin first — also say 4H has given them a lot of valuable life lessons.
Round robin involves the grand champions and reserve grand champions for the different animals shown at the Fairgrounds Show Arena and the poultry/rabbit barn.
