The 11th annual Emporia Community Foundation Match Day is still a little more than three months away, but participating agencies are already gearing up for the day of giving.
That was the report from ECF Director Linda Kehres Schmidt on KVOE’s Morning Show Wednesday.
Kehres-Schmidt says ECF will once again host a public viewing party of the promotional videos on Friday, September 13 at the Lyon County History Center. The viewing party will come a week after KVOE begins its annual slate of on-air interviews with the participating agencies in this year’s Match Day.
The first interview will occur on Friday, September 6 and continue weekly through October 25. Once again more than 30 organizations are participating in this year’s Match Day scheduled for November 18th.
Donating will begin at midnight that morning and continue until 11:59 pm that evening. Kehres-Schmidt reminds residents they can give in several ways not just through monetary donations.
The annual Match Day check presentation will occur at Flint Hills Mall on December 3.
