Enrollment is trending up at Sacred Heart School.
That’s according to principal Curtis Simons, a recent guest on KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 Segment. Simons says a reason for the uptick in enrollment is a combination of things.
Sacred Heart’s school year began on Aug. 15 with Simons in his third year as building principal.
Simons also mentioned Sacred Heart did a feasibility study last spring for a potential new school building to replace its current building, which is 98 years old.
Sacred Heart staff recently met with an architect during a commissioning mass. Simons says there are three or four different plans, but nothing is set in stone.
Simons says committees are forming and they’re hoping they can check into receiving some federal funding for the project.
