Two hearings are coming for Travis Duane Edwards as his vehicular murder case approaches a scheduled jury trial beginning next week.
Edwards has a plea hearing at 2:30 pm Tuesday before Judge Laura Miser, followed by a trial status hearing at 4 pm Wednesday in front of Judge Lee Fowler. Trial is set to begin Sept. 3.
Edwards is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, as well as three counts of aggravated battery and one count of interfering with law enforcement. Charges follow a crash on US Highway 50 near Road C in April 2023 where two people were killed. Edwards and three other people were hurt in the wreck.
