A senior-laden class will be pivotal for Burlingame to have success this fall.
The Bearcats finished 2023 with a 5-4 record falling in the opening round of the 8-Man Division I playoffs to West Elk. Burlingame’s senior class will be led by returning starters Dane Winters, JD Tyson, Timmy Roberts, and Parker Haid. Junior Drake Skirvin also returns as a wide receiver.
Burlingame also makes the shift down from 8-Man Division I to II. District play for the Bearcats will feature Lyon County League matchups at home against Waverly and Lebo and at Hartford. The Bearcats will also face Centre and Rural Vista in district play. Burlingame opens the season against Northern Heights, who returns to the Lyon County League and makes the shift from 11-man to 8-man.
Burlingame will be featured on KVOE’s Area Game of the Week on Country 101.7 FM in Week 3 vs. Madison.
