An Emporia woman was arrested on drug possession charges in Osage County over the Labor Day weekend.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 75 at milepost 138 just after 4:10 pm Sunday. During the stop, illegal narcotics were allegedly found in the vehicle driven by 63-year-old Dianna K. Martin of Emporia.
Martin was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Martin was taken to the Osage County Jail where she remains at last word.
Formal charges are pending.
