Regional transportation has been part of Lyon County Area Transportation’s modus operandi for several years. It’s taking a new direction with the recent hire of Mobility Manager Misty Williams.
LCAT is part of a district involving 11 counties and more than 20 transportation agencies. Williams says her role is to “blur the lines” between the participating counties to make transportation more accessible to anybody needing it, regardless of whether buses, bikes or other options are involved.
LCAT Director Shane Brunner says his agency’s position as the largest transportation agency in the district puts LCAT in an obvious leadership position.
