About six weeks after announcing a name change, ValuNet Fiber is now officially assuming its parent company’s name for local operations.
ValuNet is now rebranding under the Sparklight moniker as part of a process that could take several months. Sparklight says customers will get several communications to make sure the transition is seamless between the two brands.
Sparklight serves over one million customers in 24 states. and took over the Cable One brand locally in April 2019, a year before the ValuNet merger. Since 2021, Sparklight says it has invested more than $1 billion to construct a “robust and reliable network,” including the foundation for 10-gigabit speed.
ValuNet started in 2011, led by founders Rick Tidwell, Stormy Supiran, Bob Agler and Steve Sauder.
Sparklight locally will continue to offer internet, video and phone service while providing customer self-service options and a mobile app for convenience. The office location, 2914 West US Highway 50, will remain in use.
