Facilities, infrastructure and property matters will all come before Lyon County Commissioners when they convene for their regular action meeting Thursday morning.
Commissioners will first consider signing a resolution presented by County Counselor Molly Priest for the foreclosure of tax liens and sale of real property before considering the county’s municipal solid waste contract. In separate matters, Lyon County Road and Bridge staff will submit a quote from APAC-Kansas Shears Division for mill and overlay work at the intersection of South Avenue and Prairie Street.
The work is estimated to cost just over $51,400 and will be paid from the county’s Road and Bridge fund. Additionally, staff will discuss applying for a Kansas Department of Transportation cost share project for stabilization work on Road 110 from Road T to Road W, which would cost an estimated $2 million.
Additionally, County Facilities Director Robbie Weiss will seek permission to place a plumbing fixtures project at the Lyon County Jail out to bid. Two executive sessions, one for legal matters and another for non-elected personnel, are also planned.
The meeting will begin at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
