The Emporia State volleyball team left Missouri on a 3-match winning streak Saturday after sweeping Winona State 25-16, 25-22, 25-16 to go 3-1 at the Kansas City Classic hosted by Rockhurst and William Jewell to open the season this weekend. Winona State had been receiving votes in the AVCA Preseason Poll, but the Lady Hornets outhit the Warriors .267 to .051 in the match. Rayishon Jackman continued the torrid pace to start her E-State career with a fourth-straight match of double-digit kills registering 19 on Saturday. Jackman had 72 terminations over the weekend and is hitting .254 to begin the year. McKenya Sorrells controlled the net for the black & gold with 4 blocks Saturday while Sydney Fiatte added 11 digs. ESU continues their long trek away from White Auditorium to begin the season by heading to the Tiger Classic hosted by Fort Hays State beginning Friday to face Truman State.
