According to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal, the next hearing in Four Seasons LLC v Alisha Hammond won’t take place for almost a year.
Following a scheduling conference Wednesday, Judge Jeff Larson set a motion hearing for Aug. 20 and a pretrial conference for Oct. 1, 2025.
Four Seasons LLC is requesting damages — costs, attorney fees and other unspecified relief — in excess of $75,000 against Hammond. Four Seasons says it retained a forensic accountant after Hammond’s employment was terminated, and complex attorney Meredith Monaco claims Hammond stole $84,000 from Four Seasons during the course of her employment, thus constituting breach of contract, theft and possible embezzlement.
Monaco also says Lyon County authorities failed to investigate and prosecute Hammond, so Four Seasons was “compelled” to file the lawsuit. Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman says the case was investigated but was closed without any affidavit filed for potential criminal charges.
