They sparred repeatedly during the presidential debate Tuesday night.
Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump disagreed sharply on any and all topics addressed, including crime. Harris countered Trump’s assertions crime was up significantly under President Joe Biden.
Trump, meanwhile, said the economy was much better under his administration than what has been in place under the Biden-Harris administration.
Currently, there is no second presidential debate scheduled, although Harris is now calling for one. There will be a debate between the vice presidential candidates, Republican JD Vance and Democrat Tim Walz, on Oct. 1.
