Music students at Emporia State University will benefit from the upcoming Gala Benefit Concert this upcoming Saturday at Albert Taylor Hall.
Residents got a preview of the concert as part of a recent KVOE On-Air Chat. Music Professor Allan Comstock says this is a massive fundraiser for students, majors or otherwise.
Besides music from faculty, alums and students, the event will feature the induction of Dr John Ericson, a horn instructor at Arizona State University and a graduate of both Emporia High and Emporia State, into the Frank A Beach Hall of Distinction.
The concert begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 each and donations to music student scholarships are encouraged. Click here for ticket and donation information.
