The Lebo Wolves topped Northern Heights 54-8 on the Area Game of the Week Friday night.
The Wolves got off to a hot start with a 28-yard touchdown run by senior Eli Hauff on their first posession of the game to take an early lead they would never relinquish. Senior Quarterback Drew Konrade added a six-yard touchdown run to put the Wolves up 16-0 before Northern Heights responded with their only touchdown of the game, a 21-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Cooper Woodrow to senior Logan Schlimme.
Konrade found the endzone two more times before the end of the first and the Wolves would take a 30-8 lead into the locker room following a scoreless second quarter. In the second half, the wolves found the endzone three more times and closed out the win early in the fourth quarter.
Konrade ended the night with six total touchdowns, five on the ground and one 25-yard pass to junior Brayden Hopkins, as well as two interceptions. He credited his teammates up front for the offensive success.
With a few key players out for the evening, Head Coach Brian Hadley called it a good win saying his team had to battle some adversity.
Lebo now improves to 2-0 on the season while Northern Heights falls to 0-2.
