Osage County deputies have announced two drug-related arrests from recent interactions.
The first involved a traffic stop at US Highway 56 and South Urish Road near Burlingame shortly atfer 4 pm Friday. Sheriff Chris Wells says illegal narcotics were located as part of a K-9 stop, leading to the arrest of 34-year-old Tabatha Horton of Herington on suspicion of possessing cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The second also involved a traffic stop, this time at Main and Topeka in Carbondal shortly after 11:30 am Saturday. Again, a K-9 alerted to illegal narcotics. Subrina Casey-Meredith, age 50 of Topeka, was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Quantities have not been announced. Formal charges are pending in both cases.
