The Emporia State volleyball team swept former MIAA rival Missouri S&T 3-0 to go 2-1 at the PSU Invitational with a 25-20, 27-25, 25-15 victory on Saturday afternoon. ESU ended the first set with a 5-1 run to take the set before winning four of the final five points in the second set to go up 2-0. ESU built a 17-7 lead over the Miners in the third and S&T never made it close as E-State completed the sweep. The Lady Hornets hit .283 as a team and were led by Rayishon Jackman’s 17 kills while Weronicka Wrzesinksa and Camilla Ossola each added 13. Brailey Bogle had a double-double with 41 assists and 13 digs while Sydney Fiatte led the way with 16. ESU (8-2) is back on the road Friday to open MIAA action against Missouri Western. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
