The Emporia High gymnastics team finished third in its lone home meet of the season Monday night.
Emporia High recorded a team score of 73.35 behind Newton and Free State.
Freshman Addy Malone led the way for Emporia High with a pair of third place finishes in the bar (6.8) and beam (7.9) while taking second in the all-around with a score of 31.2. Malone said she was excited to compete at home.
Senior Chloe Fischer won the vault with a score of 8.7 and took fifth in the bar (6.2).
Emporia High coach Angela Podrebarac said it was a good showing in its home meet.
Emporia High is off until October 5 when it travels to Shawnee Mission West.
