The US Geological Survey has reported a small earthquake in northwest Chase County.
The quake was a magnitude 2.7 and developed about five miles northeast of Cedar Point shortly before 2:15 am Wednesday. As of 7 am, there were no reports of shaking or damage reported to USGS.
The quake has not posted to the Kansas Geological Survey’s website as of 7 am Wednesday. If it does, this would be the sixth quake of at least magnitude-2 originating in Chase County since the start of the year.
