Friday is Homecoming for the Emporia High football team as it hosts Topeka High.
The game serves as the Spartans’ Centennial League opener and wraps up a 3-game homestand.
Topeka High is 3-0 on the season with wins over Wichita West, Wichita Heights, and Wichita Southeast.
Emporia High coach Kaden Glinsmann said Spartans must deal with adversity better.
Senior Owen Ruge said the Spartans must avoid being distracted by all the Homecoming festivities surrounding the game.
