Purchases, security requests and bids came before Lyon County Commissioners during their regular action meeting Thursday morning.
Commissioners began their meeting by approving the appointment of two Lyon County Security employees to witness the destruction of archived election records as required by state law at the request of Lyon County Election Officer Tammy Vopat. Commissioners would then approve the purchase of Prepared Assist Plus for a total of $7,360 as requested by Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Director Roxanne Van Gundy.
The better than $7,000 price tag will be a yearly cost paid out of county 911 funds and will allow for non-emergent texting, security and mapping technology.
Additional action included the approval of a bid from Moon Title and Escrow, LLC for abstracting work on the delinquent real estate tax sale and a cereal malt beverage special event license application from Ignacio Velazquez for an event on Logan Avenue in January. Commissioners also held three executive sessions, two for legal matters and one for non-elected personnel, with no action taken.
Commissioners will reconvene for their regular meeting next Thursday at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
