Three Emporia High teams were in action on Thursday.
The Emporia High volleyball team split its triangular at Hayden. Hayden defeated the Lady Spartans, 25-23, 25-23 before bouncing back with a 21-25, 25-23, 25-21 victory over Manhattan. Emporia High (13-7) hosts Ottawa in a best-of-five dual next Thursday.
The Emporia High girls golf team participated in the Maize South Invitational. The Lady Spartans finished eighth with a 261. Elise Eckert finished second with a 34. Kelsey Shull finished in a tie for 36th with a 62. Emporia High travels to Topeka for the Centennial League Tournament on Monday.
The Emporia High boys soccer team fell 3-0 at Topeka High. Emporia High (3-5, 1-1) travels to KC-Turner on Tuesday.
