Six area high schools participated in the Rim Rock Classic at Rim Rock Farms outside of Lawrence on Saturday.
The Emporia High girls had two finish in the top 20 in the girls crimson division. Sophomore Madison Evans finished seventh with a time of 20:04.60. Sophomore Emma Beatty finished 17th with a time of 20:28.10.The Lady Spartans finished fourth as a team with a score of 230. Senior Gideon Lowery was the top Spartan taking 26th with a time of 17:07.10.
Lebo’s Caleb Durst finished 70th in the boys gold race with a time of 16:58. Northern Heights’ Josie Tiffany finished 63rd in the girls blue race with a time of 22:31.20. Olpe’s Kaleb Arnold finished 56th in the boys crimson race with a time of 17:42.20. Osage City’s Emory Speece finished 11th in the girls blue race with a time of 20:27.10. Osage City’s Alex Dawdy finished 66th in the boys blue race with a time of 18:20.90. Council Grove’s Jadyn Picolet finished 46th in the boys blue race with a time of 18:01.
