As Phase 3 work wraps up at the Emporia Pavilions shopping center in northwest Emporia, Phase 4 work is teed up and ready to begin shortly.
City officials have confirmed Ulta Beauty and PetSmart will be the next stores as part of ongoing efforts to bring national stores to Emporia. Both will be built directly east of Old Navy, which had its soft opening Wednesday ahead of its grand opening Saturday. Foundation work may begin before Thanksgiving.
Work continues to bring additional retailers to the property as well as restaurants.
Hobby Lobby was the first store at Pavilions, opening to shoppers in 2017. Phase 2 stores include Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less and Shoe Dept Encore. Old Navy finishes Phase 3 after Maurices moved from Flinthills Mall last month and Five Below opened in late August.
